Proofs from the project "A Tale of Two Cities"
Walking along Hogans Creek in downtown Jacksonville from the headwaters off the parking lot of the Duval County Medical Examiner to the entry to the St Johns River. This is what lack of leadership and respect for the natural beauty of our city looks like.
From an information sign along the creek: "The Venetian Waterway we call Hogans Creek was completed in 1929, at a cost of $400,000. It made this park one of the finest in Florida. Park superintendents came from afar to view what had been achieved in a very short time."
